Last Bedlam Game Comments Tonight

Dusty and the other guy tonight kept saying that this was possibly the last bedlam game with the 4 new teams coming to the Big 12 next year. Did I completely miss this was a possibility due to scheduling? IMO if we don’t play next year this is OSU further dodging us with scheduling as an excuse. The fact that tonight’s game was still prime time shows that this is one of the better tv ratings games for the Big12. So it would be hard to see why the Big12 would not want to continue scheduling it while we are still in the conference.

Wanting to fire Lebby is ridiculous!

I get it. Like many on this board I was like wtf from Q2 to the end. He has a good recruiting class coming in that in no way needs f'd with. Venables def needs to talk to him about game flow and running clock to give defense a breather. Time of possession is a serious problem. Biggest problem on offense is Gabriel is so fn inconsistent. This is why we should have leaned on the run game harder and possibly ran the wildcat package. Anyway a win is a win. Boomer

Possible Lebby replacements?

I have rode the coaches not at complete fault this season, but tonight, after the first quarter, Jeff Lebby was atrocious. The kids made a few mistakes, but the play calling was terrible.

That said, who do you want to see as the OC?

If it weren't for the defense, who had to be on the field for 101 plays and damn near 38 minutes, we lose this game.

Needing to run time off the clock, you decide to line up and have the ball snapped with 20 seconds remaining on the play clock. Punt with 17 seconds on the play clock. There is absolutely no excuse for that.

Two 3rd down conversions the last two weeks. Pathetic.

OSU

will crush OU next week

OSU is a football team
OU is not a football team

There is nothing that’s transpired all season with this team to support any other conclusion than homerism.

It takes leadership on your team and you have to play complementary football.

They have the talent to have gone 8-4. But they are going 5-7

I will be cheering hard for OU.

And Brent, regardless of how recruiting ends up, will have to figure it out next season.

He isn’t going to get 3 years with SEC looming.
And that’s because he’s never been a HC. There is no basis whatsoever just as a coordinator to honestly be confident that he’s got what it takes to be a successful HC.

After next year, if he hasn’t shown he can do it, OU will go hire a HC with a real track record and eat brent’s contract.
