OU season appreciation.

This is going to be kind of like the "Let's just enjoy tonight" thread. The season didn't turn out how we wanted, but I'm just glad we got to enjoy another season. I have so much fun on this board. Some of you guys make me laugh so much, which helps with the tough times.

I sure am going to miss football season now that it's over. Of course there is plenty to complain about, but the reason I watch football is because it's an escape from my everyday stressful life. I thought the kids played great today, despite not getting the result we wanted. I'm super excited for the future.

As we go into this offseason, let's just take a moment to appreciate the team, especially after all they have been through. We got a great recruiting class on our hands, and hopefully the ship will be righted.

Even though I can just listen to the podcasts and get a lot of the recruiting information off Twitter and other sites, I appreciate this community so much that I will never unsubscribe. We are a family here, and we get through the tough times together. I'm already excited about the spring game, and I can't wait for next season.

Thanks to all of you for another great football season. Boomer!

As an Old. The future is bright!!!

Having lived through Gary Gibbs, John Flake, and Howard Smellsofbourbon. This team played hard. Lacks true talent on defense but improved throughout the year.

We were way better coached than any team blake or smelly put on the field. I thought we would lose badly but we had a good chance to beat a top 15 team.

All you betwetters (I have been one at times this year). Donate to the collective. I have. Im not rich but doing my part. Coaches get too much credit when we win and too much blame when we lose. Its the Jimmy and Joes. Period. Bob Stoops has said that BV was left with not much talent. I trust his judgement.

SCOOPERS!!! 4 Loses by 4 FG's.....

6-7 vs, 10-3, what a difference they make, eh? And we had a chance agaisnt KSU @ home, until.

And, the Refs are not our friends either (Big 12 or SEC it appears). For a Sooner fan tonight, I thought given the circumstances, our guys did ok really, we have nothing to be ashamed of IMO.

Let's be proud of our players that stuck it out tonight, BOOMER!

OT: tips for watching OU football with gout?

Recently turned 40 and it seems my body has rapidly deteriorated as I got my first ever case of gout (self diagnosed). Excruciating pain and swelling in the big toe and can barely walk.

I'm now day 4 into the flare up and have been abstaining from alcohol to help. That makes this the first time I've watched OU football in 22yrs as a fan and not had even one cold beer. It's be rough.

Anyone else had gout and been able to get back on the sauce without a flare up? Anyone been able to drink the occasional beer? Need some light at the end of the tunnel.

Worst starting safeties since '99...

IDGAF that someone posted this last week and got blasted for it...

In order from complete shit to complete shit...

1.) Justin Broiles

That's the list. I'm sure I'm missing a few that have been pretty shitty (Fields for example)... but can't think of anyone nearly as bad as Broiles.

I'm sure he's a great kid... love his desire to wear a Sooner uniform and give up TD's and big plays for the other team... but yeah...

Flame on and feel free and fvck off if you wanna shame me for dumping on the kid.

He can be a great guy and a shitty player... both are true.
