Fact or Fiction: Luther Burden will sign with OU

@Adam Gorney @Josh Helmholdt

2. Five-star WR Luther Burden is still going to end up in Oklahoma's class.

Luther Burden

Gorney’s take: FACT. There are a lot of teams coming after the No. 1 receiver in the class but Oklahoma provides so much in offensive firepower and weaponry at his position that it’s going to be hard to flip from the Sooners.
Luther Burden was at Missouri in the last few days and apparently the Tigers are doing a great job working to flip him but I still find it hard to believe he ends up there. Alabama would be a school to watch since it pumps out NFL-level players everywhere including receiver but Oklahoma got his early commitment, the QB situation there is outstanding for years to come and that offense is just so good it’s going to be tough to turn down.

Helmholdt’s take: FICTION. There is a chance Burden sticks with the Sooners throughout and signs in December, but if I had to put money on it I would bet he lands elsewhere. There is a metric ton of confidence coming from Missouri that it will be able to flip the five-star, and Burden has visited Columbia several times in recent months, including earlier this week. He is also going to see several SEC schools later this month as part of his team's 7-on-7 travels, and I expect he makes several official visits elsewhere in the fall. That is a lot Oklahoma has to overcome to keep Burden in the fold.

Did Patty G. pull a fast one..........

I may be all wet on this one, but did Patty outsmart us all this weekend? I think a lot of us were scratching our head when she started May on Friday.
The expectation was she would more than likely start Saile or G. I think she was looking past this weekend.

She knows when we get to OKC, we're going to need to use May in a starting role at least once. So she feeds her to the wolves, at home to see where her mindset is and how she'd handle a top tier team in what all agreed should have been a WCWS matchup.
Not to mention that UDUB was not expecting to see her.

Then she starts Saile the the second game, a game on ABC that had received a ton of hype since it was the first softball game televised by one of the big 3 networks. We know what we have in G. She's "been there, done that" if you will. Now we have 3 pitchers that have all played in what is considered huge games, against a WCWS championship contender, on a big stage (especially Saturdays game).

May have also sent a message to G that she needs to tighten things up a bit.

Carey Murdock vs Jim Traber

The hate between the two is REAL AF! Jim never misses a chance to say he doesn’t listen to the Morning Animals and how they are terrible. Carey is now on the radio dropping the hammer on Jim. Makes for good radio as there is an obvious feud between the two. Jim needed a new one since Dusty left.

@Carey Murdock want to drop us some inside info that you won’t get on WWLS?
