I can get to portions of both and am trying to decide what sequence to attack the game in.

I know the obvious, and possibly correct, answer is to head to Judson's game last but the reality is Judson is likely to go down and I'm guessing Evans won't talk.

On the flip side while Poe and Fontenette are interesting do they have a lot to say? To me it's more about getting video of both than needing important interviews?

So honestly I came into this wanting your input but I think I know which way I'm leaning but am open to some counter points.

Rivals transfer rankings...

I'm guessing these are just transposed from high school rankings? I can't imagine how Wete could be a 4 star otherwise.

edit: no... nevermind these appear to be original rankings.

That's why Turkey is 49 cents a pound...............

The entire Thanksgiving meal is a schlep. My mom worked on it for weeks, and the set-up/clean-up is a pain in the ass. There had to be a dozen side dishes, all of which had to be stored and cleaned following the dinner. It might be worth it if turkey actually had any flavor, but it doesn't. Give me a steak, any kind of seafood or even fried chicken any day!

I hope I have my parents forever. But down the road, I'll be in a nice restaurant for Thanksgiving!

That said - I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! :)

Former Sooner Jalin Conyers Has Big Game Last Weekend

I don't remember ever seeing or hearing much about why he left but looks like he and the ASU QB may be developing a little chemistry.

OT: ESPN: NCAA: 18 violations, almost $60K in illegal benefits by Tennessee football under former coach Jeremy Pruitt

The NCAA has charged Tennessee's football program with 18 Level I alleged rules violations, the most severe under its rules, for impermissible recruiting benefits totaling about $60,000 that were paid to prospects under former coach Jeremy Pruitt.

Among other allegations, Pruitt is accused of providing about $9,000 to the mothers of two prospects. His wife, Casey, is accused of making 25 cash payments totaling about $12,500 to help a prospect's mother pay her car payment.

Wonder if this will include some punishment with teeth.

Oh, I guess not.

Despite the large number of Level I violations, the NCAA enforcement staff chose not to charge the university with lack of institutional control and even commended the Volunteers for their cooperation during the investigation.

"The actions taken by the institution during the investigation should be the standard for any institutional inquiries into potential violations," the notice of allegations said. "Throughout the investigation the institution exhibited exemplary cooperation in multiple ways. Once the institution's chancellor was alerted to allegations of potential violations within the football program, the institution took swift action to investigate the allegations and substantiated various violations.

Pruitt was 16-19 overall at Tennessee and 10-16 against SEC opponents. The Vols were 2-11 against AP-ranked opponents under Pruitt, who was in his first stint as a head coach. Pruitt worked as a senior defensive analyst for the New York Giants in 2021.

While I'm not an OSU fan, wasn't this EXACTLY what OSU did ? Fired the coach, cooperated with NCAA, and got hammered anyway? Poor Aggies must be blowing a gasket over this.

Get out your Baylor pom poms today and KSU tomorrow

I don't want to live in a world where it's ut vs TCU for the CC.

Someone pay the refs to either pick up or throw flags. Not like that isn't already happening in OU games.

Thinking we are going to have to rely on KSU, don't think BU can get it done. Sark is going to give it to Bijan 30 times again today.

Jeff Lebby vs OSU (good)

Alright, let me start by saying I’m not defending the continued hurry up in the 2nd half and not chewing any clock up. However, I will say there’s also been plenty of times where this board has heavily criticized past coaching moves to get too conservative too early and let teams back into games that way as well. But here’s a short analysis of Lebby’s game against OSU.

Jeff Lebby was damn good in the first half of Bedlam. I won’t get into the four touchdown drives as I think everyone was pretty ok with that.

His other 5 drives of the first half:

-After the Coldon int, first play was the sweep to Freeman that got blown up. The. On 3rd down, just good coverage by OSU on the throw to Willis

- 3rd and short and they run a swing pass to Gavin Freeman that would have been an easy first down but DG just rifles it too far in front and OU punts

- OSU punts it down to the OU 4 yd line. You can certainly argue Lebby got a little conservative here. First two plays were runs by Gray that gained 2 yards. Honestly thought Gray was pretty meh in this game. 3rd down, Stoops stop route that looked to be open and DG sails it 20 yards over his head.

-After the long KO return by Mims. Gray gets tripped up on the 3rd and 8 run otherwise he might have been gone. Again, Gray normally gets away from that. But I like that play call in that situation because OU clearly was gonna go for it on 4th. Then on 4th and 5, Mims initially called a first down but they review and overturn. Can’t exactly crap on Lebby for that.

- Drive before the end of the half, gets the ball on the OU 21 with 1:09 on the clock. Quickly drives down the field. DG ends up throwing the int costing OU at least a FG try.

In summary, Lebby was great in the first half. But DG was very inconsistent and Gray wasn’t his normal self. I’ll dive deeper into the 2nd half later. I realize a lot of that was on Lebby, but he also clearly couldn’t trust DG who at that point was atrocious and Gray couldn’t get anything going. Farooq with some huge drops as well. I will say I would have liked to have seen more Barnes. He was having a much better day than Gray.

Jacob Lacey, DT from Notre Dame transferring to OU...

..... and will have two years of eligibility.
Frustrated to lack of playing time after ND's first two games, and with a redshirt year and an extra year due to COVID, Lacey decided to transfer to OU to play for Venables who had recruited him for Clemson.
He looks to add much-needed quality depth for OU's defensive line and comes from a "blue blood" program, unlike most of last year's transfers to OU.

Five questions - Texas Tech

A lil back and forth.
