Jackson Arnold is the best QB in HS football this year. He just lit up South Lake Carroll this past week. The Oklahoma pledge threw for 303 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 149 yards and four scores as Guyer beat Southlake Carroll 45-21 in the Class 6A Division II Region I final at a packed Northwest ISD Stadium. I'm telling you I have not been this excited about a QB in a long time. He has that moxy, that elevates a team and makes everyone around him better.

What are your expectations for next year after seeing the portal entries to date? I really really really want BV to be our guy. And while it may seem unrealistic to some, between the roster he inherited (which was bad but still had SOME viable players), having a full HS recruiting class and two portal classes, I have a hard time thinking we shouldn’t win the Big 12 and compete for a spot in the playoff next year. An 8 year win is fireable imo. What are y’all’s thoughts?

Would not the main reasons for a player to portal is because they want to 1. go somewhere they can start and/or 2. they don't like it where they are. I don't know how the eligibility thing fits in.
So, if the reason is 1 or 2, why would the players we take in the portal be any different or better than ours going into the portal?
