WTH D

28-20 now, and I’m sure some folks will try and find a way to blame the closeness of the score on Dillon Gabriel.

It looks like D started playing better as after I posted those stats they only allowed 8 yards the rest of QTR

We've made huge improvements but it was never going to be easy sledding all year.

This team can either figure things out and shock the world or, I think, at worst, still suffer a few growing pains in year 2 and we end with 2 or 3 losses.

Nobody's defense is tearing it up this year. Look at LSU, just gave up a middle-of-the-road Ole Miss, 55 points. We were better than most. Have faith my Sooner brethren.
Ole Miss had 706 yds of offense LSU had 637. I think both defenses stayed in the Locker Room the whole game. The previous week Bama held Ole Miss to 10 pts and 301 yds of offense. Bama they say is down but they still play solid defense.
That Ole Miss LSU game reminded me of the Big 12 days when Offenses put up gaudy numbers on each other in high scoring games.

Was Stutsman injured?

He had a stinger. In the radio booth, Bob Stoops and Teddy Lehman were laughing about stingers when Stutsman was standing there limp-armed. Said it takes about 15 minutes to get your arm back. Nothing else was mentioned after that.

Drake Stoops came up after a play looking like his shoulder was bothering him. He continued to play, but that is concerning.
