I got some questions about who is lining up where, recruiting, depth, etc. etc. in regards to the WRs. I know certain guys can move around and will move around, but is this correct below?
Inside:
Shepard, Andrews, Meier, Quick, Humphrey, Baxter, Bennett
Outside:
Westbrook, Neal, Mead, Todd, Smallwood, Miller, Green.
I mainly want to know where Shep and Neal are playing.
Secondly, in regards to recruiting. We have committed Adrian Hardy 6'3", Jordan Parker 6'2", and are recruiting hard Audie Otomoshomohobo 6'3", and Camron Williams 6'3". All of those guys seem like outside WRs. The Davion Curtis dude that @josh_m told us to keep an eye out for it committed to Georgia now I believe and I doubt we get Duvernay. So things are looking slim at inside WR.
I guess my question is, does anyone else find it weird that we're targeting a bunch of 6'3" dudes and not going after some slot WRs. I mean I'm a huge Quick fan, and Humphrey fan, but both have Jordan Smallwood hands. The addition of Baxter (Jr) looks like it'll help the need if those 2 can't cut it this year, but I just thought we'd be going after some faster slot guys. Is there any chance Hardy plays inside WR, given his lateral agility?
Next season we're losing Shep, Neal, and Westbrook has been known to say he wants to be 1 and done. So there is a possibility that next season we'll look like this (and I imagine a few transfers but won't account for them here)
Inside: Andrews, Meier, Quick, Humphrey Baxter, Bennett - I imagine Andrews is a 3-4 year starter, but with Quick and Hump having hand problems, kinda looks a little iffy there.
Outside: Mead, Todd, Smallwood, Miller, Green, Hardy, Parker, (Freshman). - Can Parker start from day 1? Are we going to start 2 WRs that are 6'4"+?
Sorry for the scatter brain, just thinking outloud asking for any info anyone may have, and particularly wondering why the heck the coaches aren't targeting more inside WRs given that there seems to be slim pickins there if Quick gets in trouble again and if Hump's hands don't develop.
