Curious to why the med/training staff are getting blasted? But not the strength/conditioning staff?

Injuries like Dolby, Anthony, Farooq, Gentry ,.. are black n white. Need surgical repair. Rehab varies on severity of injury & the individual player’s body ability to respond. Plus some is on the player & his rehab efforts.

Soft tissue injuries require rest and then rehab. Especially with skilled athletes who need that burst at their position - their timetables are set based on what the training staff evaluates AND the feedback given by the recovering athlete.

Concussions have set return to play protocol & severity/history is a factor.

Being a long time coach, in my opinion, blaming the medical staff for injury recovery is about as sensible as blaming the coach for the injury Lol

If a player tells med staff/trainers he can’t go, that’s on the athlete. If a med staff pushes a n athlete to return before full recovery, that’s on the coach for letting it happen & a on the athlete for not being honest with the coaches.

On Anthony, any surgery has the possibility of scar tissue and other complications. Nobody’s fault- it happens occasionally.
