I remember that before Brent was hired there was an article prematurely/erroneously posted announcing Dan Lanning as the hire. What if Dan Lanning was the hire? Would he be having similar success at OU? Was Oregon better prepared for the evolving college football? Is the difference that Lanning was better prepared to be a coach or other circumstances?
