Had Hawkins started during one of the last three games he would have made a tremendous difference in how this line plays. What lineman wants to give 110 Percent when he knows no matter how well he blocks the defense his quarterback will mess up the play?
On another note what better test could Hawkins have than being put into a game with millions of TV watchers and the number 6 team in the nation as an adversary? I may be wrong about my observations, but I noticed after Hawkins came into the game Tennessee only scored three more points, WHY, because Hawkins's play gave our fine defense time to rest up and stop the opposing offense.
