What does NASCAR at Martinsville have to do with OU football?

It is 80 minutes until the OU football broadcast starts on Fox Sports 1 (583 on my Verizon channel guide) and they're averaging about three laps a minute racing green on the short track. But with 133 laps to go they are on an overcast day and need to have as few cautions as possible to get done on time to let us see kickoff.

It's 45 seconds per lap under the yellow.

We now have 62 minutes til kickoff and 118 laps to go.

They won't keep it on NASCAR, they will be on the OU game.

I suspect that would be true, Mike, if we were playing somebody besides Kansas.

Right now 28 minutes til broadcast, 50 laps to go. They need to quit bumping into each other.

It's a one mile track, so there is a lot of congestion.

Its just the Nascar Truck race... this is the only way they could get anyone to watch it I watch ONE truck race a year and thats the dirt race at Eldora. This is a short track race at Darlington, thats beating and banging and lucky to go more than 10 laps without a caution. Developmental series and for those that couldnt make it in the big time. Used to see Busch and some other top drivers in it but just too dangerous for them anymore.
