Our defensive backs never turn to find the ball on the fades. They only use the I am beat technique where the concede the catch and try to strip it. I know if you are beat you don't look for the ball you play head, eyes and hands, but these big ass receivers can't be that fast can they. When's the last time you saw a db for us turn his head on a fade and high point the ball. It's like they expect failure. I am not going to bash on him but, when is the last time Kerry Cooks has had an over achiever? Someone that was so so and developed as he got older. Instead they come in with a lot of colleges wanting them and they get Mack Browned.
Tim Kish, his unit is playing better then any other unit on the field. I can't believe I just said that. He just sucks at recruiting.
Mike Stoops, his unit is playing confused and being asked to do things they physically can't do, kind of like Bookie. That's been a long term trend in Norman. Basically watching OU on defense is a lot like watching ground hog day.
Lincoln Riley, it scares me to think that he thinks if we get better players we will be better on defense. While I don't disagree with that it makes me think the Mike Stoops experiment is going to go on for a few years. You can't ask a guy to play a 4I on one play next play have him covering a guy on a seam route the next play. The only guys that can do that kind of stuff wear capes and are called super heroes. We might have the best 11 on the field but they are playing out of position. Can't get off the field on 3rd and 20 now that shit makes a guy drink and take xanax. On days like this when the pill bottle says alcohol may cause drowsiness I take that as a tip not a warning.
On a positive note, my shitter quit filling with water in the 3rd quarter. I am on a well so I had to check for leaks afraid burn my pump up. So I missed most of the 3rd quarter.
