Way O.T. In a new place

never been to San Francisco before. I'm staying in Mill Valey across the Golden Gate. Anyone have anything worth seeing, doing or eating while I'm here. I'm doing an Ultramarathon in the Marin Headlands so anything other than this area(I'll see plenty of it). Anyone familiar with good local spots, or places off the beaten path? Anyway thanks for your help.
