Looks like the bowl section is complete. And looks like the video board is gonna be HUGE!!!!! Good lord I didn't realize they were gonna make a video board that massive. But I certainly approve!!!!

Site has a live camera link too for those times when you have nothing better to do but sit at your PC and stare at the screen. haha :D

Thanks for sharing BillyRay. Some (including me) said they would never be able to "bowl in" the stadium! The pics look fantastic. Can't wait to see the final product. Makes me incredibly proud of our university and athletic programs. It's a good time to be a Sooner!!!

I dunno; if this much of a bowl is what we're getting (even with a massive Jumbotron) it doesn't do enough for me to have cost so many of our longtime donors what they have sacrificed; jmho of course.

Maybe some closer to the action can discuss ?

The project isn't just the bowl and big screen, it also includes brand new facilities for the players and coaches. Like a major upgrade. The renderings for the new training center, locker room, weight room, offices, etc are incredible. The weight room and performance center will expand from what was 9,000 square feet to 30,000 square feet. And the locker room and player meeting rooms are unbelievable. The upgrades will put OU back at the top for facilities and a lot of design has been done to improve efficiency for the athletes.

The stadium portion will be done by the first game. The new facilities won't be done until Feb 2017 so they'll be in the temporary buildings another season.

G-man, Those long-time donors didn't "sacrifice" anything. They chose to give to the Athletic Dept. for those primo seats. If that is how they choose to use their "expendable income," then more power to 'em! Then again, if they don't feel they are getting their money's worth, or if the seats they sat in for years are now being designated as the Vistors section (see Section 22), then I can see why they decided not to re-up.
