who were at work or visiting the Murrah Federal office building.

My office back then was in Leadership Square on the 2nd floor which is two blocks from the bombing.
The sound of the blast was so loud I thought an airplane had hit our building. From the windows in our office we could see a huge amount of smoke and we were told to evacuate the downtown area.

Every morning I would park about a mile away from my office near St Anthony's Hospital so I could get some exercise every morning.
On my route to my office I walked past the Murrah office building every day and on the day of the bombing I walked past it 20 minutes earlier and I remember seeing a group of their office workers outside smoking and talking. I often wonder how many of them were killed in the bombing.

My secretary back them lost her sister in the bombing who worked in the Social Security office in the Federal building. There was also a daycare in the Federal building where several children were killed and seriously injured.

After the bombing I changed my route on my walk to my office and the smell of death in the air remained for over a month, a smell I will never forget.

God bless the families of the victims of this horrific act of violence.

Amen. Two of our favorite friends were called upon and voluntarily served in the horrific aftermath of that deranged crime scene. God Bless them and all like them that served and have to live with those memories as well

i was a tv reporter in san angelo and my sis was a producer at kfor. she called and asked me to come up and do some reporting to off-set the full-timer's strain. they were on air 24-7 almost. never forget pulling into the city and seeing the "gash" as she called it... remember interviewing murrah's grandson, believe he was an attorney. also john denny with his 2 young survivors from the daycare. introduced that report live from the newsroom, trying not to be too nervous. i look back at it as a chaotic, exciting, gut-wrenching experience...but also so angry and disappointed that someone could intentionally kill children. later sis became a reporter at kfor...interviewed mcveigh at his prison in colorado. says he creeped her out in general, plus she said he shook hands with a real limp-wristed grip. never believe 24 years could fly past so quickly
