I don't normally do this but I have yet to read on this board anyone's thoughts on this game with Tennessee. It's almost like some of you are taking the high road on this one.(a wait and see approach)

I would love to hear your thoughts on this game. If you think OU will win tell me why??? If you think OU Will lose tell me why???
At some point in this thread I'll be giving you guys my prediction and why. Don't be scared let's hear your thoughts.

One of those games where early momentum could dictate the outcome...

I think OU will win because we score more points.

The Vols are a good team and will play with pride, but OU has too much for them to keep a lid on for 4 quarters.

OU - 38 Tenn - 24

I said 24-21 OU...but if Tennessee gets a break or 2 early and that crowd gets into the game it could be one of those magical Vol wins. Saw the same thing happen in the 86 Sugar Bowl against Miami...I'm sure some of you guys remember that win handed OU the MNC.

Something to consider is the Vols allowed BG 124 yards rushing. However they allowed 433 yards passing to BG. This will play into the Sooners hands I believe.

This feels like the week we went to FSU in 2011. So I'm going with our score vs. Florida State in Tallahassee.

This time...

Sooners 23
Vols 13

Low scoring, I know. But that is my gut feeling.

I'm with Section 22. I think it's a fairly low-scoring game as both offenses have some success, but the defenses control the tempo of the game and come up with enough stops to keep it close from start to finish. Neither team leads by more than 7 points at any time during the game.

OU - 28
UT - 24

In the interest of continuity, I'm already on record for 31-21, OU.

After the end of last year, scoping out all the negatives on the board and reading about the so-so performance of the OLine last week, frankly I will be surprised if OU wins. Just have lost faith in Mike as a D co-ordinator I guess.

Well shoot if everything is based off what transpired last year it should be a cake walk this week for OU right? I mean OU did beat the Vals last year.

True. With a much better OLine. And UT playing mostly freshman on their Oline. Who blocked for 399 yards last week. Like Mayfield and the receivers but UT's OLine I am afraid will be the difference.

My magic 8-ball says Ou wins, OU beats the spread, and it confirmed my suspicions of all UTenn fans branching off of the same family tree.:p

I think winning at Tennessee is above the capability of our OLine, at this point in the season...maybe if we were playing in December, it would be different. I think because the staff knows they cannot run effectively, they will completely abandon the run game and throw it 60 times. I think there may be 'jitters' on our part until we settle in to the game at the end of the first quarter and hopefully we don't get knocked out or give up too many big plays. I think we'll be down 10-0 by mid-first quarter, then start to play a little better but I expect over all this will be relatively low scoring, maybe something like 31 - 27 or 31 - 21 for the Volunteers.

Just prove to the (overrated) $EC that

12375cat... lots of people are calling this a contest between The Big Twelve and the SEC. Everyone already knows which of the two conferences is better. This is just a contest between OU and UT.

Close game through three quarters. OU pulls away late for a 10 point win. Ou 41 Tn 31

GO SOONERS !!!!!!!!

I'm gonna say Tenn 31 OU 21. Although I hope I'm wrong, I think our young o-line and their home field will be too much to overcome

I still think we are a year away. Been going back and forth about this game all week as far as a score. I have us at an 8-4 season, maybe some lucky or unlucky breaks change that. I think you all will get up on us early and we will come back but it'll be too late.

Gonna say OU over My Vols, 38-30

Mmm, curious, you sign up in 2005, wait ten long years and make your first post here.

We're flattered...and we like your prognostication also.
We get a twofer!

LOL I'm not sure how it counts it on other boards. I have close to 9k on VolQuest. It must start at 0 as far as other team's boards go. I usually never post on another team's board, but yall seem very cool.

You're quite right. This new format, it's like, every Rivals board is like a state unto itself.

I'm old, I forget stuff at times...

Oh yeah, you're very perceptive...we are cool...and humble.

Sooners 36-24....should be a good one. The Sooner D will need to be on their A game in Knoxville. I believe the Sooner offense should have little problems moving on their depleted defense.
