they put us at 4

The committee said that OU's proximity to the Cotton Bowl was not a factor in the Sooners' fall to the 4th seed in the final poll.

Right.

This is a slap in the face to this OU team, period. OU is already posted as a 2.5-point favorite on a neutral field in Miami Gardens against the #1 ranked team in the country. I'm sure that's just by accident, because all reasonable and rational people know that OU is the 4th best team, and Clemson is #1 in the country.

All if a sudden last night the talking heads on ESPN were all suddenly taking the same opinion, that Michigan State would move past the Sooners, claiming that the credentials of Michigan State are better than the Sooners. BTW, Michigan State is a 9-point underdog to "#2" Alabama.

Right. Gerrymandered brackets could never happen here, not in the good ol' USA...

I think Herbie was right. The committiee split up OU and Bama. That was the best was to do it. I wish we had been in Dallas, but I guess you saw the stat this morning that the Big XII is OH for 13 in Non Conference games in Jerrah World.

Having a rematch with Clemson seems great to me. I would rather play them first than Bama.

I was expecting 4, if we were 4 last week I think the big 12 might of been left out again.

I kind of like it myself. Big 12 team fans should hope we win this thing. I understand they're point of view.
This could validate the big 12. This year was a made by the schedule working like a championship. That will be rare to repeat.

IMO, this is the perfect scenario for us. I think that OUr defense plays lights out regardless, but the offense may have a bit of rust to shake off after the long break. Clemson is the weaker of the two defenses which will help. Add the revenge factor to it, and it seems the perfect scenario for the first round win.

WNS I suspect everyone has their "insider" on the committee, including Bob Stoops. I think the move to 4th is good for OU and good for $$$$. You the money managers would love to see two thoroughbreds like OU and Alabama go at it again. One game at a time please.

Fitty, I did a little research on tickets in Phoenix. There is a Luxury Box of 8 seats with food and drinks included, private entry and parking for $207,000. Nose bleed is around $550, field level between the 30s is $3000 to $4500. Club seats $5000 and Honor Ring (as it is called) is about $6000. There is a great venue around the stadium that is very festive. It will be rocking with cinema size screens, live music, etc.

OU is pushing Orange Bowl tickets to season ticket holders at $175 each.
