Good luck to the kid. I definitely understand him leaving. Another year of wear-and-tear in college is another year of making some money in the NFL. Especially his style of running, his body has a shorter shelf life than most backs.
Can't think of a better example of a student athlete than Samaje. He will be missed.

What an amazing young man. This is the right move for him and I'd imagine 100% of Sooner fans support it.
Thanks for being a great Sooner. I'm going to miss watching him play on Saturday's.
Perine will always be one of my favorite players and that is saying a lot for all my years rooting for OU. One of the classiest Sooners to ever wear the uniform
Agree! Samaje Perine left an Unforgettable Legacy as a Sooner...Not so much as the Record Breaker that he became, but for the Quality of his Behavior and the fine Example he set...He raised the bar high...
If there was a Prentice Gautt Award, Samaje would be my Candidate. That is the highest compliment that I can give him...

Billy is still my all-time favorite Sooner, but I cannot believe how excited I was for Samaje to break his record. Can you imagine if he came back for his senior season? His record would never be broken!!! Congrats and Thank You Samaje! Good luck in the NFL!
I will miss Samaje. He was a great force with the ball in his hands. I'm sad to see his time as a Sooner is over. All time best Sooner running back in yards. College record rushing yards in a game. He is truly one of the greatest Sooners ever.
Truly one of my favorite Sooners of all time! Will be sorely missed by all - what a high character, humble teammate....
