Stoops

You are uninformed about distance running my friend. There was a time not so long ago when the Scandinavians ruled the track in distance events and the Africans were not all that competitive. As a matter of fact, the current star in the mile, 3000, and 5000 is WHITE from Norway. Like most things, it goes in cycles. Not sure why, but it does. The Japanese are famous for success in the marathon. Is it because the genetically superior for that distance? Hardly. Its just really emphasized in their country much like track is emphasized in parts of Africa.
BTW Warholm is not a long distance runner. He holds the 400 meter record. It seems you may be misinformed.

It has not been that long ago that African nations did not compete in international events. I am informed about distance runners. Emil Zapotek, Billy Mills, Kip Keino and many others. I actually ran in several marathons in my youth. Saudi Arabia (3), Singapore (2), Dublin and Houston (2). What is a star in a distance if he is not the record holder? The 5000 meter record is held by a Ugandan and the 3000 by a Kenyan. The 1500 is held by a Moroccan. 12 of the last 16 world record holders in the 5000 meters were from Africa from 1972 until now. Japanese women have done well in marathon but not the men. A Japanese won the Tokyo Marathon in 2010. Kenya and Ethiopia won that last 10.
Were people claiming that white people had a genetic advantage when Zatopek and Paavo Nurmi were at the top of the distance running world? Maybe some were which is ignorant. Certain countries dominate at different times. A white man held the 200 m world records for many years and it had nothing to do with race.

I'm not an anthropologist but I have never outrun a black guy. I am always open to being proven wrong. I seem to remember things better when someone forces me to accept them.
