Guys, I have had tickets in the south endzone for nearly 20 years. With the new construction, I am being forced by OU to consider the alternatives, including:
1) Paying a "donor component" for each seat. I am waiting for a conference call, but I have been told by others that those seats will require a $1,200 per seat "donation" per year.
2) Wait for relocation elsewhere in the stadium. I am not sure if that will end up being any less expensive.
I have a daughter going to college next fall (albeit on an athletic scholarship, she will still cost me $$), and a son going to college the following year, so I am not thrilled about adding to my expenses. To be perfectly honest, I would definitely pay the money if we were competing for championships like we did in the early 2000s, but I am not sure I consider the required donations to be a "value" for my money at this time. I make a nice living, but I try not to be stupid with my money.
What are others in this situation doing?
