I watched practice yesterday and these are the things that stood out:
1. As far as qb play, none were clearly ahead. Knight and Mayfield have clearly been living in the weight room. All of them took reps with the 1s. Knight did pull the ball on a read play and took it about 70.
2. Mixon is an animal. He is huge and runs violently. He was used in the passing game several times and made big catches. Standing next to them, he is as thick as perine but about 6'2. He and perine are clearly the best rbs.
3. Westbrook is phenomenal. Extremely twitchy. He Scored several times.
4. Defensive front played really well and controlled the Los in scrimmage play.
5. Riley used a ton of different personell pckgs. Te's were used a ton, both in line and flexed out.
Also lots of 2 back with perine, mixon, and Ross.
Also got to listen to Riley speak for about an hour about offensive philosophy.
I am even more excited about him. He knows what he wants to do and is confident about it. I liked heuple but when i heard him talk I never felt he knew what he wanted to really do. Kind of a roledex offense.
