There will be two round robins of three teams.
Group A will be conference champ -- OU, plus fourth place Texas and whoever ends up fifth. Could be any of KU, Tech or Iowa State, because of the rain out in game three between Kansas and Texas in Lawrence last weekend.
The other bracket will be second and third which will be OSU and Baylor, not sure which will be which. And the sixth place team. Same deal, Tech, KU or Iowa State.
Each group will have three games between each of the three. And the one winner from each bracket will play the one from the other bracket, one game for the tournament title.
So OU will likely play Texas for the Group A winner, and if they win two, will play the other Group winner.
I thought we'd only have to play two to win the tournament, but it takes three wins.
Baylor beat Texas tonight, so they are a game ahead of OSU in the loss column, but have two games left to play. OSU has won. Since they beat OSU two out of three, they'll be the second seed if they beat Texas Saturday or Sunday. But they'll have to prove it again.
If Iowa State has been playing pretty well. If they face Texas, whom they beat two or three in Austin, It might be OU vs ISU for the Group winner. Not sure what they'll do with a three way tie at 1-1 apiece.
