Riley is becoming even more insecure. His insecurity leads him to keep poor performing coaches around him who he deems loyal (Grinch/Wiley), banning reporters, controlling media access to his team, and lying about events (i.e.: breaking into his home in Norman/moving to USC in one night), which are obviously fictional events that can be proven to be so.
The lie that bothers me the most is his insistence on saying that he decided to quit his job at OU and take the USC job in three hours. This is very much like Bill Clinton saying that he "tried" marijuana but "didn't inhale." It was later reported that Slick Willy didn't smoke marijuana at Oxford but instead ate marijuana infused brownies on many occasions. So yes, he didn't inhale the marijuana brownies and the word "tried" is not limited to a single "try" as many people can try and try again.
The walls are closing in on Slick Riley - his lies and insecurity are being revealed to the world as the media and investigative reporting in LA is much more enhanced than in Norman, Oklahoma. Grinch was exposed to have not watched game film which clearly showed a wheel route against Cal that Grinch said didn't exist. Riley's whole regime is fraudulent, and USC has a $100 million dollar problem.
