Oklahoma's season opener vs. Akron will kickoff at 6p on Sept. 5. Hopefully it will not be 120 degrees.

* The 2015 opener will mark OU's first-ever meeting on the gridiron against Akron. The Sooners are 2-0 in previous games against Mid-American Conference teams. OU beat Bowling Green 40-24 on Sept. 4, 2004, and handled Ball State 62-6 on Oct. 1, 2011. Both games were played at Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.
