SAM and The Rams...$$ Never Sleeps...

I wouldn't restructure the deal and force St. Louis to cut him. Get out of that snake bitten environment and get into a new gig that protects the QB. Even the owner wants to move to L.A., which is too expensive for Sam to grow roots. Go to Houston and live 60% cheaper. Houston has a major need at QB with some stout WRs.

Houston's HC loves working with QBs, while the Rams HC looks to sign another DB or DT, while their QBs get pounded.

The Rams need a mobile QB that can run like the wind.

Regardless, Sam Bradford's $50M guaranteed has been paid.

He made some serious coin in St. Louis with two season sitting rehabbing an injury.

Sam was very fortunate all the way around in this deal.

It was the last year before the rookie caps. He was coming off a season ending injury but was one of very few NFL quarterback prospects.

I wouldn't blame him for taking the money, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Sam restructure if the Rams intend to get him some help.

I still believe he can be successful.

IMO, Sam is a Winner, regardless of The Ram's Record...However, it's hard to 'Soar Like an Eagle' when you are surrounded by a bunch of turkeys...

I think the Rams were finally headed in the right direction and then Sam suffers the knee injuries. It doesn't help that they've been lodged at the bottom of the league's best conference.

I'm damn tired of people thinking Sam is a bust. His numbers were tops in the NFL before his first knee injury two years ago. Sam is doing his part with what he has to work with. I hope the Cowboys sign him as a backup so he can take Romos job.

Well, I have a whole different mindset.

With the bank he has now, and as frugal as he allegedly is, I'd be going all Alfred E. Newman in saying, "What, me worry?"

But, that's just me...

Thats why it's never good for your players to get picked in the top 5. It's fun I guess but they usually go to lousy organizations. You are picking that high for a reason.

I'd sit tight and force a trade or ride out the last year. His HC just announced that he'd be required to 'earn his job' back, and rightfully so. But I'd earn it with a full contract of only one year remaining. He then will become a Free Agent. If he has a great year, several will line up to pay him, if he rides the bench then he'll still get every penny of the deal upfront before he becomes a free agent. That kind of deal would allow more teams to call on him.

To me, a "bust" is the same as a "flop", someone who doesn't perform when the heat is on, due to nerves or just plain lack of talent.

Sam is neither of those. Serious injury does not = bust.
