Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley addressed talk that several Sooners would be suspended for Dec. 28 Peach Bowl against LSU.

“I’m aware of the report that’s out there but unfortunately at this time, I cannot comment on it,” Riley said.

SoonerScoop.com reported Wednesday that several players would be suspended for the game, including running back Rhamondre Stevenson, defensive end Ronnie Perkins and wide receiver Trejan Bridges.

Riley was asked directly about Stevenson early in his Wednesday press conference, as a follow-up to a question about Kennedy Brooks’ status.

Brooks was hurt late in OU’s Big 12 Championship Game win over Baylor.

“Kennedy Brooks will play,” Riley said as a direct response to the question about Stevenson.

Later Riley was asked about Perkins’ status and declined comment.

You have a huge goal to attain and 3 decide to put that goal on even thinner ice? Depending on the nature of the “acts”, they should face tough penalties from LR. He needs to stick to his no tolerance policy. In this case, they appear to lack big focus for the big game(s) ahead.
