Rickey Dixon, former OU defensive stand out, professional player and All American is suffering from ALS, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Disease better known as Lou Gehrigs disease...if you're not aware the disease is 100% fatal...I'm encouraging you to remember Rickey when you see the Fire Fighters standing at the intersections during their annual "Fill the Boot" campaign..the money collected goes to support people like Rickey and is untilized in research and development to try to find a cure for the disease...you never know when that break through will occur...in the mean time please think of Ricky who was a member of the 1985 Championship team and is a member of the Sooner family....
