Would love DMACK to weigh in.
It’s obvious to the armchair QBs like me that JA lacks confidence. What was also obvious in MO game was the disappearance of the quick passing game. It was run for short gain, now need to pick up 6 for first down, send 4 verts, Jackson not see field well, 1st read covered, eyes down to the rush, happy feet etc.
Can’t a good playcaller recognize this and script the first couple of series to address nothing BUT his confidence and frankly that of the WRs, and call bubble screens, call routes like slants, avoid RPOs, and strictly have JA pivot and throw to a spot.
Can you explain how play callers or if can address such an issue? I hope we see a 10-15 play script tomorrow night that JA gets comfortable with out of the gate.
