Put it out there - Bama prediction

Taking down Alabama on Senior Saturday was just what Sooner Nation needed. If we manage to beat LSU before all those crazy coon asses, I will consider this a successful season given everything this team had to endure. Regardless, qualifying for a bowl is huge.
Agree.
Big win was desperately needed to unclog the issues this team has had all season.
True, Alabama is not of Saban caliber and it is only one game, but this win really should start a momentum towards the future, regardless of what happens against LSU.
Also appears that the Sooners’ top tecruit, OT Fasusi will hold his commitment and sign with OU from what I’ve heard. And the 2025 class will not be negatively impacted by the tough sedd as on we’ve had.

The OU Coaches must have noticed these stats in Alabama's 2 losses this year.

Rushing yds for bama vs the Opponents in the 2 losses prior to last night, and last nights totals.

Loss. Bama 84 Vandy 166
Loss. Bama 75 Tennessee 214

Loss. Bama 70 OU 257

Total Rushing yds in the 3 Bama losses.
Bama 225. Opponents total 637

If you want to beat Bama shut down their running game, contain Milroe and pound the rock.

Bama hasn't been held to 3 points or less in 20 yrs.

maybe with that win and the atmosphere around the game, some of those top bama players may be looking at hitting the portal. Maybe seeing BV's defense do what we all thought it would do, will sway some of them to give OU a look.

56 - 3. The cheerleaders go through the Joker makeup artists to try and paint a smile on their faces but to no avail. They throw the pom poms on the field and quit in disgust. Our QB's are plastered all over the interwebz lying in the fetal position due to numerous bludgeoning sacks. Venables will talk about God, family, and competitive spirit, oh and this is not the result they wanted.
I'm happy to eat all the crow on this one.

I was bad wrong as well. But after watching us all season and what Bama was doing, looking like they were starting to peak at the right time it looked like it would be a bama blowout. It was by OU and could have been worse, we left points on the field otherwise it could have been 30-3 or 34-3.

I really thought we would get the Bama that everyone saw in the 1st half of their game with Georgia but with our offense we wouldn't be able to overcome the deficit like Georgia did and almost won.

OU'S defense is why we didn't see that offense.

The defense played lights out, but a large part of that was due to complementary football. They only had to defend 10 Alabama possessions the entire game, which is low in the modern era. Additionally, the defense did not even have to take the field for the final 6:47 of the game. For the most part, they had plenty of time to rest between possessions.

I think the concern for most Sooner fans is going to be, was this an anomaly performance or did we figure something out. Because now LSU looks very beatable and finishing with two wins over those programs would be huge considering how this season has gone.

On paper, LSU is very beatable. Just like on paper, Alabama is a lot better than OU.

The biggest thing about the LSU game is the amount of emotion and intensity that went into that Alabama game. It reminds me of last year's RRR from an intensity standpoint. It's very difficult to sustain that in back-to-back games.

Sustained drives is the key. With 68 yards of passing, I would have guessed a loss by 28 pts or more. Crazy times, we are going back to the wishbone if this keeps up.

The wishbone is dead and buried at OU.
When the offensive line gets better at pass protection and Arnold has healthy receivers, the passing game will be restored. But it isn’t happening this season.

Mr. CTE I think you were missing some sarcasm, but thanks for straightening me out. My wife will appreciate it.

I noted your sarcasm when I posted.
I’m only pointing out that I believe OU will have a balanced attack when a solid offensive line is built.
One would hope but my faith in the vaunted oline coach has waned for quite some time. I don't know if it is just the difficulty of the position or inability to develop younger guys but we seem to never have a solid line early in the season and now, due to injuries, throughout the season.
