This game although hard to handle in the first half, is probably going to set us up well for the remainder of the season. I bet the team has a very highly energetic week of practice because its not like we came out and ran all over akron. The team sees the problems, but its not like in years past when we struggled the entire game a la utah st and other season openers that kind of crushed the teams spirit a bit. This team got a glimpse of what the new offense can bring after everyone settled down. So i believe the opener played out as well as it could have to grab the teams attention, but to not set off alarms like Utah St. and the other team that held us on four downs inside the five a few years back.
