He entered the portal. Probably said 100% for that reason. DunnoAnyone see the video of Anthony working out and saying he feels 100%? All these dudes are soft and full of crap.
He and Farooq are head scratchers for me. They are both really good and would have had starting spots if healthy.Anyone see the video of Anthony working out and saying he feels 100%? All these dudes are soft and full of crap.
As for this game against Navy, OU faces a team that will be better prepared and motivated (and fully intact) and ready to give OU all it can handle as Army did in 2018. Academy teams play hard the entire game.
Regardless of what this Navy game is to us, it’s really a game that Venables needs to win as he faces more heat and bigger challenges.
Looks like Bauer Sharp signed with LSU and Brenan Thompson with Miss St.
Hate to hear it about with receivers with 2/3 of ours leaving. Maybe after the playoffs.well OU missed on their top two WR targets, but we did land a punter and a kicker. So QB targets are waiting to see what WR are coming in while the WR are waiting to see what QB comes in, could be a win or could be a disaster. I will there is a QB on the roster that may surprise people, Steele Wasel out of Choctaw, 6'3 230lb got a cannon for an arm. If Arbuckle and his new QB coach are what they say they are both Hawkins and Steele could be really good. Steele wears #14 Bradford 2.0 you heard it here first, he's going to be a player for someone.
Isn't he the only signee so far?OU is the only team in the SEC to not sign a player out of the portal that is not a kicker.
Wonder what plan B is if he opts for Miami? I am pretty confident he chooses OU but you never knowMateer has entered the portal, either going to be OU or Miami.
I would definitely think OU, as it is an easy transition for him already knowing the offense and he will be 2 hours from home. If not OU, then Micael Hawkins would be next in line unless there is a surprise somewhere.Wonder what plan B is if he opts for Miami? I am pretty confident he chooses OU but you never know
You summed it up perfect. At 76 years of age I’m getting close to walking away from my lifelong love of OU and college football.
Too much is about money and it’s making the “rich get richer” (Texas, Georgia, Ohio State, Oregon, etc) and the game is now just a pre-pro league based on a whore mentality.
I’m seeing OU fade into mediocrity as Nebraska and Arkansas did.
I’ll likely take the seven national championships, the 40-plus conference championships and everything else that came along under Wilkinson, Fairbanks, Switzer and Stoops and call it a day.
A year from now, I hope these words are premature and dead wrong.

I would love to see Farooq and Anthony back.I don't understand some of these decisions, JJ Hester to Kentucky? Maybe Farooq and / or Anthony decide to stay with Mateer headed this way?
Malik Murphy, would be someone I would go after. May remember as a member of the steers a few years ago.
The question was who would plan B be if Mateer went elsewhere. Anyone else hear that Arbuckle is top candidate for the Washington State job, If so and he took it Im guessing the qb coach goes with him as his OC and Mateer follows them back to WazzuMalik Murphy originally transferred to Duke because he wanted to start instead of being #3 behind Ewers and Manning. I highly doubt he would come to OU to sit behind Mateer.

Agree, he is not going back to WSU. The OU Offensive Coordinator position is better than being the HC at Washington State that's in a dying 2nd rate conference that nobody cares about. His name hasn't even been mentioned in the Seattle area media as a potential replacement. WSU is a dying program, and they're going into a watered down, reconstituted Pac-12 conference with Oregon State and five Mountain West teams. The leading candidates right now to replace Dickert are Jim Mora, Jr., Brent Vigen, Kirby Moore, Eric Morris, Dirk Koetter and Bobby Hawke.
Nic Anderson lands at LSU with Bauer Sharp.
