Ross Dellenger from Yahoo Sports is reporting that part of the potential playoff expansion could include play-in games for the SEC and Big Ten.
The #3 and #6 as well as the #4 and #5 teams would play for an automatic bid to the playoffs.
This got me thinking what this could possibly look like:

Play-in game #1 (3 vs 6) new Nashville stadium Noon
Play-in game #2 (4 vs 5) Jerry World 4 pm
Championship game Atlanta 8 pm
Maybe there could even be a yearly rotation with what games are held where 🤷🏻♂️
ESPN/ABC would love getting 2 more premier matchups!!!
