A spectacular record considering OU has had many great teams in the last 17 years.
Today was also our 21st conference win in a row tying the record of the2001-2002 OU team.

Shey Knighten our stud almost singlehandedly dominated texas with most of the RBIs. She hit a HR and was almost perfect batting vs. texas. I believe in her 8 at bats she had 5 hits & several walks.
Knighten has gotten her batting average up to about 3,65.

Our freshman Dalton will be our new starting Catcher. She is a fine hitter while OU's other 2 catchers Wodack & Sparks are our worse hitters in the entire lineup. Dalton has not been a catcher for very long
but she has a great day catching the shutout today over texas for the two OU Paiges Lowary and Parker. Paige Lowary has more speed on her fastballs that most, and Dalton had an almost perfect game behind the plate.

Our present team is also playing spectacular defense and the speed on this team is even better than last season and all three of our pitchers have ERAs in the ones

This Sooner team is very special. and still very young as we have only one senior.

How about a repeat of another National Championship!

Bull, I love your bullish optimism.

Dalton caught her first seven inning game behind the plate. She does give a better offensive threat than our other two catchers. Having a six run lead, gave Patty the confidence to let her catch the whole game. She did a solid job. She looks to have solid fundamentals, but just lacks experience. But she's a talented athlete.

OU's only conference loss last season was at home to Kansas. Next weekend, the Sooners go to Lawrence to face the Jayhawks won two of three in Lubbock after going 1-5 to start the conference season against Baylor and OSU. So they are 3-6 in the conference and 21-18 overall. But they are 7-4 at home.

BTW, after the Sooner sweep this weekend, Texas is 0-6 in the conference.

I am very bullish on our very young team.
Shay is apparently over her early season knee injury.
Her HR vs. texas was halfway up the foul pole still rising. She was dominent in every game vs. texas

By tournament time we will have three solid pitchers instead of just one (Paige Parker) last season.Paige Parker pitched every inning of every game in the regional & Super regional & the entire WCWS
