Is it fair to say that we all know what we're going to get from this team? They'll win just enough to make the tournament, and possibly make it to the second round, but wouldn't surprise us, if they lose in the first round.

That's pretty much Lon's teams. I no longer get my hope up that Lon will ever recruit top talent to have a Big 12 championship caliber team.

This team, like so many others, is a one man nba talent and a bunch of journeymen. I hate saying that, but it seems to be Lon's way.

It's been the OU way for a long time now. We were blessed to have TY and BH.

The reality is Thunder basketball and kids bolting to the pros at their first chance pretty much puts OU basketball and on the back burner for most people. There are so many other entertainment options it’s hard to see much changing either. Frankly the OU wrestling team is a more thrilling way to spend an evening than watching kids miss 80 percent of their three point shots.

OU was picked to finish sixth in Big 12 by the sports writers and this looks to be a repeat of the last couple of years. OU will look good against non-conference foes and win 10 or 11 games, but then struggle to play .500 against conference foes and limp home with a 16-14 record. They'll lose first round game in the B12 Tourney, get a Big Dance bid and lose in the first round.

I still support Lon Kruger and feel he's a very good coach, but he's in a place where it's hard to recruit top-flight players in numbers.
