Yeah, I didn't have high hopes for this game, as I thought it was a perfect storm to defeat this OU squad:
- Best defensive team in the country.
- A defensive style we had not seen yet, let alone to the level of excellence they run that press.
- The best defensive player in the country just happens to be their PG.
- The game was in Morgantown.
- They have veteran guards.
That being said, I was really glad that this game came when it did. Now we have the trip the WVU out of the way early in the conference season and now the team has seen how tough a defense can be. Everything else from here will seem easier, and they'll be better prepared for the return game against WVU in Norman.
