10-7 Pokes at 1st tv timeout.

Spangler hit his first 3 of the month of February.

Sloppy start but turning it around quick. Pokes won't have the horses to hold onto fast start.

If you want to see defensive strategy that teams are doing to slow down Buddy, tune in tonight.

20-15 Pokes under 8 timeout.

Spangler with 9. Two 3s and a post up paint basket.

Spangler with another 3. He looks like he's determined to get these boys back on track by his damn self.

3 pointer for Spangler at the buzzer OU 27-24 @ the half.

19 points for Ryan Spangler. Wow.

OU goes on an 18-1 run and is up 46-32 with 11:33 left.

OSU is just outmanned and not a very good team. But in their defense, the announcers have mentioned their injury issues about 10 times already. Now that I've said that, I hope they don't get back in the game.....

Spanlger's having a career night, but the Sooner D is smothering the Pokes. Another steal, Buddy hits a three in transition, Sooners up 63-38 with 4:49 left.

All the starters are off the floor, Sooners up 69-49, less than a minute. Nice win. Spangler was brilliant. Lattin was invisible. Sooners D was dominating. Great win at home. Now on to texas this Saturday!

Lattin played good D

Any body care to analyze Buddy's game? Lol
Defensive intensity was big. Seeing signs....very good signs. Already starting to try and decide if I'd prefer winning the B12 and the resulting impact on the players versus losing and resting. Seriously....LOL.

Let's keep winning through April.

I should be embarrassed to ask this, but ignorance is bliss or so they say. Does the Big12 have a basketball tournament that crowns a champion?

3 steals and 3 blocks, but the dude has to pick up more than 1 board.
Cousins had 6 and Hield had 5.

I agree. He's often times not in a position to get boards because he's trying to block shots with help defense. It has cost us defensive rebounds but it's also why he leads the conference in blocks.

Much like Zack Sanchez, you take the bad with good.

I would like to see him be more patient in his help defense or even just body up and get his long arms straight up and leave himself in position to turn and get the misses.

Easy for me to say though. He'll only get better.

Because of the game Spangler had, he didn't get as many opportunities either. I tend to look at the stat line of ALL of our paint guys to evaluate. The last two games have been a marked improvement, basically what it was before the "slump". Hoping we're peaking at just the right time, as Plaino mentioned a few weeks back.

ST,

I went through the top 25 teams and couldn't find one who hadn't slumped other than the select few who play cupcakes. ..and we beat one of them by 23.
