It was fantastic and I had contacted Sassy Seniorita to see if she was going to be there (to make it epic) but alas she had other obligations for the weekend.

It'd been a long time, since I had attended a game in-person, and this opportunity reminded me how much fun it is. The trip from LA was always a mental barrier for me, so this opportunity was a good kick in the ass to get up and do it.
Now that I've got the taste back in me, I'm already planning to take the older boy to a game next year now that he's old enough to sit still and not ruin it for me.
I'll definitely keep everyone apprised of what I'm looking at and/or planning next year.

It was awesome to meet you all! We'll definitely have to meet up again. I might be able to take a game off to watch it like a normal fan.
Sorry I missed meeting up Medic. Maybe next year. The tentative plans are to be at Bedlam next year. No other games are that appealing. Sad to say.

(Last game was typical for a late season game. Gravity bombs ruled the day. Ask Scottsdale about the warmer games.)
This was my first game at Owen Field. Caught it driving cross country from LA to Waterbury Ct with my granddaughter, sacrificing seeing the Grand Canyon on the way to make the game. My granddaughter and I left LA Thursday evening and arrived in Connecticut Wednesday eve. As a life long fan (since 1956) who caught the 1969 and 2016 Texas games as well as the Army game at Yankee stadium in 1961 being in Norman is up there with , actually surpasses, stepping into Ebbitts Field in ‘56 as a 10 year old to see Robinson , Snider, Campanella, Hodges, and all the heroes of my youth. Thanks to all who made this the sports moment of my life. Happy Thanksgiving all.
