or should be, IMO. I don't think the USC loss will keep the committee from including the Huskies. Alabama is in regardless of what happens today. So if Virginia Tech beats Clemson, what will that do? Will the Wisconsin - Penn State winner be assured of a spot? OU may have shot if the Sooners dominate OSU.....a nail bitter would be a problem for them, IMO. What say you?

I agree. But there are those fans that have a dream so this is their opportunity to share their thoughts.

I will say this though. When OU started off 1-2, I remember posting that OU was finished and didn't have a snowballs chance to get back into the playoff mix. So really, OU fans (and myself) really should feel great that OU got on a roll and at least got themselves back into the mix. That's an accomplishment upon itself. It sucks not getting into the playoff. But to be a few upsets away from getting in after starting off 1-2, that really shows OU had a pretty special season after that slow start.

The dream? I'd call it expectations.

I expected Clemson to lose two games.

I expected Washington State to beat Washington, not get lit up in the first quarter.

I expected tOSU to be B1G champs with 1 loss.

But, most of all, I EXPECT OU to play for national championships, period.

LSU won in the BCS era with two losses. The idea that a two loss team can't get in is funny. Hell, up until this season, the idea that a team that wasn't a conference champion was.

It's a likelihood, but not a certainty that UDub will get in. I think there is still a little chance that two from BIG make it. Clemson is in. Bama is in. But I think Penn State and Ohio State might be in. Or maybe even Michigan and Ohio State.

It is likely the Huskies, tOSU, Bama and Clemson. But it's not certain.

I also keep hearing talk about the certainty that Bama will win it, especially from network talking heads. I absolutely believe that they could get beat in one of the CFP games.

There are only 2 teams in the power 5 conferences that have won 9 straight games. OU and Bama.

This is correct, but both teams are playing in weak conferences this year. IMO, if tOSU is in and Penn St is left out it would be a shame & actually weaken the selection commitee process. Penn St beat tOSU and are also the BIG Champions.
