Coming from a dude who was at the '76 NC game, '85 NC game, and '00 NC game, it is outrageous we accepted sub-par coaches over the years. Grinch was a joke. Our defense was a joke since Brent Venables departed to Clemson to make them a national powerhouse on defense and we were stuck with Mike Stoops. (We lost biggly on that exchange). The point is, once we see we have a world-class offense and Division II defense, we should have made immediate changes to the coaching staff. Instead, we ride it out and lose NC after NC due to having world-class offenses and crap defenses, which could not stop an offense to save our lives. For example, it is insulting and demeaning to our OU heritage and lineage to have allowed Grinch more than two years.
