US Men's National Team beat defending World Cup champion Germany 2-1 today in Germany, for the US's first ever win over the Germans on German soil (only in soccer, of course). Combined with the 4-3 road win over the Netherlands earlier this week, this has to be one of the better weeks for the Men's National Team in history. Beating 2 top 5 ranked teams on the road in one week is not too shabby. We gave up a weak goal to Germany early in the 1st half, but the 2 US goals (just before the end of each half) were both top-shelf. Both teams were missing some key players and it was just a friendly, but if you are going to play, you might as well win!

Congrats to the US Men! Hopefully, the US Women can continue this great week for US Soccer against Sweden on Friday in the Women's World Cup.
