I was looking at the schedule on the Sooner app for the upcoming softball games and noticed that the first few games are only being shown on FloSoftball. Does anyone know why these games are not being broadcast live with ESPN plus? I thought the whole contract thing with ESPN was for the purpose of being able to see these games on the Plus subscription. So now with the popularity of the Womens Softball team these day we are regulated to having to watch re-broadcast of these games on ESPN plus and if you want to watch them live you have to subscribe to FloSoftball? What a bunch of crap.

Nevermind I found the answer. Screw California and FloSoftball.

All other Olympic-sport live content controlled by OU (or the Big 12). If OU softball is playing in a tournament in California, the Sooners don’t own those rights, so it might not be on ESPN+. But if OU softball is hosting Wichita State, the Sooners own those rights, so it will be on ESPN+.
