My wife and I have been married less than a year and we are looking to take a few trips before having kids. Our dream vacation is to go to Banff National Park in Canada but I've heard it can be extremely expensive so we are looking at going somewhere similar but closer to home. Anyone spent a week or so at Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado? What are some things we HAVE to do while we are there? Where should we stay? We are thinking of going in late August or early September, is that a good time to go? I know the Elk will be bugling in September so I'm really excited about that.
