All, sorry for the long post and delete if not allowed. My best friend and the girl of my dreams has been going through a lot of medical issues lately. She is 36 years old and in stage 4 heart failure and can’t work currently. I’ve been trying to help her as much as possible but everything is piling up fast. We are diehard Sooner fans and thought I would post here. Her brother wrote this for her.
Our girl Tory is strong, but at this time I would like to ask for support of my sister. She is currently in stage four heart failure.
At her last cardiologist doctor appt, she was told that her heart was getting stronger. So strong she was taken off the transplant list. Unfortunately she has had a set back again in her health. She spent 17 days this past month in the ICU. Christmas and New Years were spent with her boys and mom in the hospital. Her heart isn’t keeping up with the fluid retention in her body. Along with heart failure, she was diagnosed with parathyroid cancer. Luckily It is at an early stage, however still requires the surgery to remove it. Tory has a long road of health recovery in front of her. After the thyroid removal, the doctors want to get on getting her a heart transplant. Tory is not able to work during this time. She is such an active loving person and this has been really hard for her to sit still. Her goal was to be back in Alaska with her family with all of the health issues going on so she can have more support. Tory is a single mother of two great teenage boys. Her oldest son finished his last day of high school when she was in the hospital. Her youngest son is a sophomore. Tory is very young to be going through all of this. She is only 36 years old. Any type of donation would help her during this time.
We were going to setup a go fund me for her but found out they take a percentage and didn’t care for that. She has been reluctant on us doing any of this.
