Ok so I had my head up my ass when doing my taxes and put in the wrong amount for my first stimulus check. I put in 300 less than what I actually got so it gave me an extra 300 on my refund. My question is, will the IRS correct that themselves and send me 300 less or do I need to amend my return?(by the way I use TurboTax and can't do an amendment until the 25th) It was a boneheaded mistake on my part I just didn't know if anyone on here knows what the IRS would do. I'm not worried about getting in trouble because it was an honest mistake. Oh and yes I have called the IRS and it is impossible to get through right now. Thanks
