IMO you had to go to George and ask him if he planned on staying in OKC. If that answer is anything other than Yes, I think the Thunder could have made a big mistake. You have to get something for PG if he were to bolt
The only way this team stays relevant is Trades and Draft and without a 1st round pick until 2022 the Thunder better hope PG resigns. If not it’s going to be a long while until they are relevant again.
If he leaves you got nothing in return. Just as you did with KD. You’re left losing both guys and getting absolutely nothing in return. No players, no draft picks, nothing. Only opened cap space.. we have seen how this has gone in the last few years..
