For me, I love history and big cities. Big on the background of places. NYC is and always will be one of my favorite places in the world.

Proposed to my wife on top of Empire State Building back in 2011. I was stationed at Dover AFB (2.5hrs south of NYC) before being medically retired due to having CRPS (debilitating nerve disorder I deal with to this day).

Anyways, I can’t wait to take my family there soon. Kaden (oldest) has always wanted to go there. He’s never visited where he was born in Delaware either. Something we hope to do.

Outside of that, I like Chicago a bit. Fun city. Going to Second City is great to see where all the legends from SNL and comedies hailed from. Again, history of those two cities, along with Philly, are things I enjoy. Boston is up there as well.

Non cities for vacation will always be Lake Hamilton at our family lake house that father-in-law has and Outer Banks at beach house he has.

Those are annual stops for us and great recharging for the boys before football kicks off for good.

Out of the country, visiting Normandy was emotional and eye-opening. As was just the sheer history of France. Spent 14 days there in HS and loved Paris, Normandy, Tours, etc. All fun stops, but Mont St. Michael is one of the more wild places I’ve ever been. That and five of the biggest Chateau’s there were something I’ll never forget.

Sedona (AZ) and Vegas also up there for me.

What’s been some of the best spots for you? Where would you like to go but haven’t and why? Always intrigued to hear about places so I can add to my bucket list.
