I’m exhausted discussing heavy stuff. So I want to know what is the movie that you KNOW is bad, but you watch it anyway and enjoy it.
Personally, mine is Teen Wolf. Scott Calvin discovers as a teenager who may have the worst basketball shot I have ever seen that he transforms in to a werewolf whenever he wants. What’s so great about this movie is:
1) The hottest girl in the movie is an A1 jock chaser. She won’t pay attention to poor Scott until he dominates the court as an actual wolf and then Scott scores AS THE WOLF at rehearsals for a school play.
2) Nick, the villain, is pretty much every 80s villain in movies about teens. Rich kid with a bad boy edge and bullies people who are poorer/smaller/less good looking than he is. He even has a villainy name.
3) Styles would be a villain in the #metoo era, but in the 80s he’s just a guy getting people to hook up who don’t want to.
4) Watching Chubs play basketball with no vertical is a delight.
