Almost 6’1 1/2” and 243 pounds with tentacle-like 34 1/2” arms for Oklahoma’s Ogbonnia Okoronkwo. Solid numbers for one of my favorite edge-rushers in this class. Currently my No. 13 overall prospect.

Colts Met with Oklahoma Pass Rusher Ogbonnia Okoronkwo at the Senior Bowl

According to Walter Football’s Charlie Campbell, Indianapolis Colts scouts met with Oklahoma pass rusher Ogbonnia Okoronkwo Tuesday at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama.
Obviously, professional scouts meeting prospects at the Senior Bowl could be nothing more than an NFL team’s scouting department gaining more information or research on a prospective prospect for their due diligence’s sake.
However, it’s still interesting to hear just who exactly the Colts are talking to right now.
The 6’1″, 240 pound Okoronkwo finished his senior season with 76 tackles (3rd on team), 17.5 tackles for loss (2nd in Big 12), 8.0 sacks, 44 total QB pressures, 3 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries, and 3 pass breakups in all 14 starts for the Sooners. As a result of his exceptional play, he earned Co-Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and First-Team All-Big 12 honors respectively.
Just a season prior, Okoronkwo had 71 tackles, 12.0 tackles for loss, 9.0 sacks, 59 total QB pressures, 2 forced fumbles, and 3 pass breakups–earning 2nd-Team All-Big 12 honors as a junior.
