People on here also gotta realize, there is a budget. You can't get 3 WR's that all require 500k+ each if you need 3 lineman who likely require the same payout, a few good defensive players, and you gotta get Mateer, and probably increase the money some current players are getting so you keep them. Just because the budget is about 20 million doesn't mean you have 20 mil to play with. For all we know, 15mil is what is invested in the current roster, and only 5 mil is left to get the portal players including Mateer. More money would be great, but were not paying for the roster so you get what you get. If you don't like it, I guess pony up and buy the player yourself.

Nope, I have zero clue what will happen but I’m done believing it before I see it. Maybe 1 of them have done it at the level we need it so until they have it is absolutely true that they aren’t the type of guys we needed. I’ll be happy to be proven wrong
I agree. Gibson was something like 2nd in the FCS in a couple of major receiving categories, and he did it on a team with poor qb play where he WAS the offense. He has good size, and he looked pretty good against Arkansas last year. I think OU may have really gotten something with him.
Lewis I am a bit less excited about, but he does have P4 starting experience, good size, and looks pretty fast. At a minimum, he should be a good depth piece that can give you some reasonably decent snaps if needed. Not everyone can be the star (Burks and Jayden Gibson look like those guys with JaVonnie Gibson and/or some of the young studs other possibilities). There is nothing wrong with adding a few quality depth guys.
