Those guys are saying what they must say right now, but privately it’s most likely a whole different story. Yeah, Brent has had to deal with a lot of issues beyond his control but he’s not handled the issues he could control effectively in a good way. He’s been in charge for 3 years for heaven’s sake. We shouldn’t be in this position. I don’t expect much more from him next season, but if he doesn’t win 7 games, he should be fired regardless of his buyout. God I can’t believe I would ever live to hope for only 7 wins.

Joe C was on the news last night and made it perfectly clear that he very confident in BV. Maybe JC needs to be reprimanded for compliancy. IDK, I'm very unhappy with BV. If Stoops had hindsight, he would have left LR as OC with BV at HC. Would have won a natty for sure. Now, the future of Oklahoma Football is reminiscent of the late 80,s early 90's with the likes of Gibbs, Schnellenberger, Blake. Sad times for OU Football.

Our former OC, Oline Coach, and Head Coach should all be charged under a military tribunal for dereliction of duty. If Brent has support, as is publicly stated by a political position (who would never ever lie or paint an inauthentic picture), then I would venture to suggest this is Brent's last chance to hire someone who will make us competitive again. Anything other than a stellar hire would be the end of BV and others on this staff. Next year is make or break.

Had to put on a brave face for recruiting and an OC hire. If they had said anything other than what they did say it would hamper both of those things. A 5-7 will likely do that anyway but no need for them to add fuel to the fire I guess. Besides they dug a 44 million dollar hole and now have to live with it, so do we unfortunately.
